The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival (NYIIFVF) proudly return to Los Angeles, March 1-8, for its bi-annual showcase of the latest independent films from around the globe. The NYIIFVF begins its celebrations along with The New York International Art Festival (NYIAF) with a film/art market and networking party at the Grand Ballroom in the Bel Age Hotel on March 1st from 8pm-Midnight. Film screenings will take place exclusively at the legendary Laemmle Sunset 5 Theatre, located in the heart of the sunset strip in West Hollywood from March 2-8. Celebrities expected throughout the 8-day extravaganza of films and parties include actress Brittany Daniel (Basketball Diaries), Ted Lange (Loveboat) and talented character actor Burt Young (Rocky Balboa) who will be unveiling his artwork.

Notable actors featuring in this year's films include Patrick Dempsey, Anthony Quinn, William Shatner (Star Trek) and Danny Trejo (Sherrybaby).

in which people struggle to achieve connection in a
multicultural environment. The art video project
"Let's Eat" reflects my interest to visualize this
subject through the culinary traditions of cooks in
Los Angeles in the relation to their dinners.

Remember "Hispanic Cook in L.A." ?? an Art student documentary piece about different but complimentary experience about people preparing food and people eating it without ever seeing each other. In Los Angeles the kitchen are dominated by Hispanic cooks and chefs. This documentary is about them.

Slim K was shot (at The California Roll Factory in Santa Monica) a scene eating Sushi - it was simple, short and yummy

The Movie was screened on Sat. Dec 16 2006, 6-9pm - among the "ART 16 Group Show" at China Town Art Walk - 418 Bamboo Lane, China Town, CA
