"What can I say about Michael Jackson?, well Michael Jackson was unquestionably the biggest pop star of the 20th Century .. I know.. I'm well aware of Sinatra, Elvis, The Beatles and many more ..

it's just that Michael did surpassed each one of them, he's certainly one of the most popular recording artists of all time. Michael Jackson was an unstoppable juggernaut, possessed of all the tools to dominate the charts seemingly at will: an instantly identifiable voice, eye-popping dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and loads of sheer star power.

An Artist who even praised by legends such as Fred Astaire
and Gene Kelly and admired by Sammy Davis Jr and even Sinatra

His 1982 blockbuster Thriller became the biggest-selling album of all time to this day .. and we're in 2008 celebrating it's 25th Anniversirary, and he was the first black artist to find stardom on MTV, breaking down innumerable boundaries both for his race and for music video as an art form.

I had a few arguments about who was more accomplished .. Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley? I admire Elvis..I love Elvis..I look up to Elvis..and he inspires me as well..but with do all respect ..
Michael Jackson was more Universal and Global .. he reached territories in Music History NO ONE had ever reached before ...

No doubt about it, that Michael is one of, if not THE most influential Artist who I look up to and from who I learned the most of my ability as an Artist myself!

Everybody wants to be near Michael. Every celebrity wants to meet Michael. He is the King of Pop for a reason and unfortunately the last of his kind!

There's more Artists outhere nowdays, who are a simple reflection of Michael, some admits some not, take a look at Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Usher etc. BUT no one will ever recapture the magic or be able to duplicate him.

I was fortunate to witness the release of THRILLER .. 25 years ago with the ground breaking Music Videos sweeping MTV incl. the Live Concerts ...

I had the privilege to meet Michael a few times and even spend some time on his last great World Tour HISTORY and get to experience him working on and off stage incl. insights backstage .. indeed unforgettable

Learning from a master such as he is, was essential for my development as an artist ... being MICHAEL JACKSON Impersonater for almost 10 years .. touring the World performing in tv shows, radio, open air festivals is an experience you cannot get anywhere nowadays .. Michael's vision expanded my artistic ability and horizon beyond my imagination ... I was always a Singer from the start .. Since his first major debut, on German national television in the early 1990's at the legendary Saturday Night Show "Rudi Carrell Show" (equivelant to the US. version of "Your Big Break" ) SLIM K proved to be unstoppable.

A self taught Artist in many ways, his first success was collected on a local talent show by SONY few months earlier before the first TV performance in his hometown Lübeck (Germany), he then performed in nearly every northern German Club, until he gained confidence, proved and established himself (and most talked about!!) as one of the best and most successful recognized Michael Jackson impersonators and imitators (through live singing*) around, after two failed auditions, persistancy, dedication, he then got his chance after the third audition, the very first national TV gig, the "Rudi Carrell Show", produced by WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) in Cologne (Germany) for channel ARD [nearly 16 million viewers] witnessed the amazing performance of SLIM K dancing and singing live Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean".

Everybody can do a Michael Jackson move BUT how many dance like Michael and SING LIVE at the same time like Michael? - Slim K can, he was able to present the whole package on stage and that established him as one of a kind performer.

Rudi Carrell (December 19, 1934 in Alkmaar, Netherlands — July 7, 2006 in Bremen, Germany), born Rudolf Wijbrand Kesselaar, was a Dutch entertainer. He worked as a television entertainer and hosted his own shows. The Rudi Carrell Show ran first in the Netherlands, then in Germany for many years. MBJ: How did you got the idea to imitate the King Of Pop MICHAEL JACKSON and why?

SK: In the early 80s when I was starting to notice the Music scene, aside of huge successful acts like The Police, Duran Duran, Culture Club, Prince, Madonna etc., well, no one coulde have escaped the magic and power of Michael Jackson and his ultimate work "Thriller", I knew very early on, that I wanted to become an Artist, I have always wanted to be Simon LeBon, George Michael, even Limahl and of course Michael Jackson, so actualy by the end of the 80s with the 'BAD' mania around 1988, I knew that I could actualy do that!

MBJ: Do what?

SK: How to start!, launch a career, by putting a band together, means money, connections, rehaersal rooms, studio etc., all things I didn't had at the time, so how do you start?

There was this very very successfull saturday night show called 'RUDI CARRELL SHOW' on German TV, which had the host (the legendary Rudi Carrell) fulfils a wish or a dream including performances by impersonators, it had a spectacular high rating, so after lots and lots of training of Jackson's choreography and I mean I actualy absorbed almost every video tape around as well, I thought I'll give Mr. Carrell a try, got invited and rejected twice and kept calling and sending more material (video and tape) and finaly at the third audition, I made it!

The performance on German national TV and beyond (the show was aired Europe wide) with more than 16 million viewers only in Germany, made me a household name in MICHAEL JACKSON impersonator all over Europe, more TV shows and Open Air gigs follwed and even got me to India, Tunisia and USA (Las Vegas)

MBJ: This is very impressive, did you had a Managment then?

SK: Actualy not, I had the control over everything myself

MBJ: Did you ever meet Michael Jackson?

SK: Oh yeah, few times, on the 'DANGEROUS WORLD TOUR' in 92 and then again on the 'HISTORY WORLD TOUR' in 97, He's quite amazing, one of a kind, powerful, very kind and very influental strong person (on me!), I got nothing but neverending respect for his work and love

Wenige Wochen nach seinem Freispruch im Missbrauchprozess macht US-Popstar Michael Jackson Schlagzeilen im Königreich Bahrein. Jackson habe in dem winzigen Inselstaat im Persischen Golf "ein neues Zuhause" gefunden, berichtete die Zeitung "Gulf News". Er habe bereits ein großes Grundstück gekauft, um dort eine Residenz zu bauen. Vorläufig habe er mit seinen drei Kindern und mehreren Angestellten eine Doppel-Villa bezogen. In den vergangenen Wochen sei er zwei Mal in der Öffentlichkeit gesehen worden, einmal in einem Spielzeugladen und einmal in einem Einkaufszentrum.

Im August werde auch seine Schwester Janet in Bahrein erwartet, sein Bruder Jermaine habe ihn schon mehrfach besucht. "Jackson ist begeistert von Bahrein. Er lebt in einer sehr friedlichen Umgebung", berichtete die Zeitung. "Er erholt sich von den körperlichen und psychischen Strapazen des Prozesses und fühlt sich sehr wohl." In dem Ölstaat, der gerade mal 650000 Einwohner hat, herrschen derzeit Temperaturen von weit über 40 Grad.</sup>

MICHAEL JACKSON, an end of an era? "This Is It"

At a press conference in London (UK) Michael Jackson personally announced 10 concerts at The O2 arena in London starting July 8, 2009. He was introduced by Dermot O’Leary, host of “X Factor” (U.K. equivalent of “American Idol”). The King of Pop strode onto the stage proudly and said the following words to the cheering crowd:



"Thank you all. This is it! These will be my final shows in London. And when I say this is it, I mean it, because....

I will be performing the songs that my fans want to hear. This is the final curtain call. I will see you in July and...

I love you. I really do, you have to know that. I love you very much; from the bottom of my heart. This is it! See you in July!""



Ten shows were announced initially, to begin on July 8. Tickets are expected to go onsale March 13 and will be available through www.MichaelJacksonLive.com. You can go to michaeljackson.com for info on presale tickets. Ticket prices are expected to be £75 / £65 / £50, plus booking fees.

and then boom, he was announce dead, An END of an Era - a One of a kind Icon, Rest In Peace - to my mentor, my teacher - to a true INCREDIBLE artistic legend MICHAEL JACKSON .

this is a major american event a la Elvis Presley .. a true real one and only American Idol, The United States and the rest of the World of Showbiz. is mourning .. it will never be the same again, One of THE greatest artists ever lived (700 mill. records sold) .. One of the LAST!

On the morning of June 25, 2009, Jackson reportedly collapsed at a home he was renting in west Los Angeles. Paramedics responded to a 911 call at 12:21 pm local (Pacific) time. He was reportedly not breathing at the time that paramedics arrived, and CPR was quickly performed. He fell into a coma and died shortly after being rushed to UCLA Medical Center. The cause of death is suspected to be cardiac arrest. Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 pm local time. At 4:36 pm, the Los Angeles coroner confirmed Jackson's death. Although there is no evidence of criminality, Los Angeles Police Department detectives have opened an investigation into his death

This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me. This is so sureal, My heart is overcome with sadness, I feel simply dazed and empty.
