Today Marcel is a household name especially among Duranies, he made over 30 Duran Duran remixes, and got asked by the french based band Waitingforwords (www.waitingforwords.com / www.myspace.com/waitingforwords2005 ) to do some remixes for their album "A Walk Trough The Night", as well as creating his own music by the name Brasshead Inc. www.myspace.com/brassheadinc

>> Sinan Mercenk (Germany)
producer of:
(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco (Sinan's Eat This Remix) 4:00
*trivia:Sinan Mercenk and Slim K formed an electronic project Rhythm Nation (1992), the project ran for almost 2 years, countless sessions gave birth to a number of songs, among them a song called "Move & Dance"
Anyone who lives in Hamburg will definately cross his path sooner or later. Even if you do not know him personally: as producer, musician, remixer and DJ – he’s a true talent when it comes to music. And part of it most of the time, when a party or an event is meant to become a true blockbuster. Born in Lübeck, in the northern part of Germany, Sinan is a part of the music scene not only in Hamburg.
Sinan is not only known to the Hamburg crowd as a producer and Remixer. His remixes for Tarkan, Mustafa Sandal and Faray, to name just a few, conquered the dance floors and dance-lists all over the world. Even songs by Minimal Funk, No Underground, Big Owl and G Park were “branded” by Sinan – and again, the dancefloors were rocked all over Germany.
The exceptional talent had his first moments of fame in 1994 with some releases under the name of M.U.L.E., then an artist at the company „Container Records“. The legendary „Sinan EP“ (U.S.S.) and many more project followed..
Even as a DJ, Sinan has earned a reputation past the borders of Hamburg. As Resident in the legendary MAX Lounge he makes makes people dance till the early morning hours. And even at events from companies such as Porsche, Rolex, Marc O’Polo, TV Spielfilm and Cinema Sinan makes sure that the dancefloors are on fire with the right feeling for grooves such as Lounge, House and Pop. There is no fixed style: “You have to be flexible and open for different directions”, says Sinan. “Why should there not be an AC/DC Song right after a song by Sting – if it’s right for that moment and touches people. I react to the crowd – not try and make the crowd react to my taste of music”.
Even as a producer, Sinan sets himself no barriers. His roots may be in Lounge music with a touch of Electro and House, but it does not end here. “Especially as a producer I have to be open-minded. It’s important that the chords have Soul – I want to give my songs a soul”.
Evidence of this is found each weekend in Hamburgs Design Temple “Stilwerk”, as resident DJ he makes sure that the shoppers have the right groove to go on a relaxed shopping trip. His affinity to music started at a young age – his brother Saim constantly played songs by Santana for him. Sinan was only 3 months old at the time… HipHop, Soul, RnB and later New Wave and Bands like B 52’s and Talking Heads influenced him strongly. Most of all though, the influence came from POLICE, he admires them till today.
“For Sting, I would do a remix right now”, he says. As a 15 year old he received a keyboard for his birthday – a crucial experience which strengthened his wish to produce and play music.
How to play the keyboard – he learned that all by himself.
Nowadays, Sinan can present a superb selection of songs. The list of his releases and compilations is long. Even his style as DJ is in great demand. „For me, there is only bad or good music“, he says, „I do not play the bad music.” It’s so simple to explain his
secret to success.
Late 2007, Sinan got an invitation by Slim K to remix (their old) his new single "(Move & Dance) BURN THE DISCO". with a great sense of creativity a bit nostalgia Sinan delivered a superb remix.
The brief collaboration may generate a Rhythm Nation reunion in the near Future.

>> Klaus Jordfald Olsen (Norway)
producer of:
(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco (Olsen Compound Jam Remix) 4:52
(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco (Olsen Free Spirit Mix) 3:20
Klaus J Olsen, Born Dec. 23 1970 in Oslo, Norway. started playing keyboards in the late 80's with bands Like Domino Public, I Lost My Head In The Supermarket and Fade To Grey. He tried briefly a solo stunt in the late 90's without much luck, and ended up selling his gear in frustration .
In 2003, Klaus purchased a Korg Triton Studio Pro VX88 and continued where he left a decade earlier. Besides writing his own material, Klaus began remixing Duran Duran tunes which soon became an obsession.
Klaus was approached by Mark Tinley (guitarist, programmer, sound engineer and record producer who has worked with Adamski, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, Glenn Gregory and others.), to remix his tune "True Love" in Janurary 2007. Hopefully this collaboration will lead to more remixing as the album gets ready. Late 2007 Klaus was asked by Slim K to remix "(Move & Dance) BURN THE DISCO", Klaus proved to be very helpful to Slim, he delivered 2 great mixes and he was instrumental in connecting Marcel Agterhuis with Slim K.
Klaus enjoys travelling around the Globe as well.

>> Stewart Cararas (USA)
*currently collaborating on new material (for upcoming album)
and recorded new vocals to (Move & Dance) Burn The Disco
more photos HERE
Stewart Cararas began his musical journey at the age of five immediately upon the discovery of a cheesy Sears Silvertone acoustic guitar found in his fathers attic. "This archeological wonder is what started it all. I used to douse the body of the guitar with Brut cologne and ignite it with a cigarette lighter in an attempt to emulate Ace Frehley."
As a teen, he sequestered himself to a very isolated existence by resorting to the library for the express purpose of 'studying anything I could find with the word MUSIC printed on the cover.'
At the age of seventeen, he acquired a Teac 4-track tape recorder and began recording anything that moved. "On weekends, I would literally wake up at 2:00 pm and compose and record music until I had to leave for school on Monday morning. Of course, it wasn't abnormal to miss a few days of school either. I had developed a lifestyle that became very regimented and seemingly monastic. Pure bliss.
At eighteen, he began his otherwise humbling pursuit as a professional. " I moved around for years absorbing as much as I could musically, socially and culturally. I wanted to experience every facet of the music industry. I operated studios, taught music, performed in bands, provided services as a session musician, etc. I soon realized that I was destined to operate within an industry that had nothing to do with art and everything to do with 'moving units'. As a result of my scathing objectivity, I was able to determine exactly what I should be doing: composing music."
Stewart moved to New Orleans in 1996 to take the plunge into the world of entrepreneurship. This was, paradoxically, the most logical approach-go in through the back door, ya know. I knew that the only way my compositions would see the light of day was to finance it all myself. I decided to put together a recording studio that would allow me to rehearse my band and record my music. Consequently, musicians and bands would approach me about recording their music. I was initially reluctant because I wanted no distractions. I later felt it would be an opportunity to hone my skills as an producer/engineer and potentially earn enough money to keep myself afloat. After a few years of beng confined to a very cramped studio environment, I decided to seek more elaborate alternatives. I invested everything I had into finding the right location, the gear, the clientel base, etc. At the time, during which, I was searching for a studio I was introduced to my future studio partner, Danny Kadar. We became fast friends and shared very similar ambitions."
As a result of the effects imparted by Hurricane Katrina, Stewart was forced to relocate.
Currently a partner of the newly restructured, seventh level productions www.7thlevelproductions.com in Hollywood. You can find him working practically everyday wearing any number of hats. He has spent the first half of 2008 mixing music for a variety of artists, film and television programs. Stewart intends to produce a couple more records before the year ends and has also focused more on composing for a number of artists. He also hopes to take at least one day off before the next tax season.
Stewart still finds the time for composing and recording his projects under the moniker: picksail, as well as, his collaboration with The Majestic Twelve and The Dreamers. One day he might even get around to releasing an album-what a novel idea, huh?
